Villa Solmara is a play on the Spanish words for sun “sol” and sea “mar.” Our villa is located inside the community of Cap Bonita, which is right on Punta Bonita, the “point of Bonita.” On one side of this point, you’ll find waters as still as glass where young children and adults can float and relax. On the other side, waves and surfers are plentiful.

Playa Bonita is approximately 15 minutes from center town in Las Terrenas, where you’ll find an eclectic mix of various cuisines with a French & Caribbean influence.

Las Terrenas is a vibrant coastal town located on the Samaná Peninsula in the Dominican Republic, known for its stunning beaches, lush landscapes, and laid-back atmosphere. The closest airport is El Catey in Samana, although the only flights there come from Toronto and Montreal. Santo Domingo is 2.5 hours away, and Punta Cana is 3.5 hours away.
